Hassenbrook in the Community
Hassenbrook students forge partnerships with Charities and Rainbow Alliance
Student council have raised £80 for the charity ‘Little Roo’. The funds will go towards the Cerebral Function Monitor (CFM) – this equipment is used in the diagnosis and treatment of babies with Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE). HIE is caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain around the time of birth, this can occur for several reasons and causes brain injury - the CFM monitors brain activity. Little Roo invests in equipment to enable the best possible outcomes for babies and their families.
Another £80 has been raised to go towards the Thurrock Food Bank. This charity was chosen by Mrs Feeney.
Finally, £45 has been raised and we will be donating the funds to buy Christmas presents for children. This was donated through the Coop’s Trust for children.
