BackSignificant Improvements in Results at Hassenbrook Academy
Outcomes for year 11 students at Hassenbrook Academy continue to go from strength to strength as Year 11 are celebrating today some outstanding results as a result of their hard work.
Students achieving a grade 4 and above in Maths has increased by a staggering 10% this year, and those achieving a 5 or above has also increased by 5% with the Maths department seeing significant gains in student progress. Also, in terms of those students leaving school with English and Maths GCSEs at grade 4 and above, there has been a 6% improvement.
Those students who took Spanish are also celebrating today with some outstanding results with some of those students going on to take Spanish post 16.
The following students were amongst this year’s top performers:
Tami O with 6 grade 9s, a grade 8 and a grade 6.
Hilda A with 3 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s
Amelia CT with 3 grade 8s, 3 grade 7s and 2 grade 6s
Emily J with a grade 8, 3 grade 7s, 3 grade 6s and a level 2 Distinction
Quyum O with 4 grade 8s, 3 grade 7s and a level 2 Merit.
Mrs Sally Feeney, Principal of Hassenbrook Academy said: “We are extremely proud of the hard work and effort that year 11 have put in to achieving their results and would of course like to thank students, their parents, staff and Governors for their efforts in securing this year’s results. We wish all of our year 11 well as they go off to their post 16 destinations, and hope that they will stay in touch to let us know what they are doing. These results follow a successful year where Ofsted also recognised the improvements that are being made here and the opportunities we provide for our students, so we are delighted to share students results with them today.”
